DETROIT, Mi. (KTHV) - The Detroit Lions released former Razorback Chris Houston Friday afternoon.

The former Hog let go just one year after signing a five year deal worth $25 million dollars. Sources close to the team say the Lions became very concerned with Houston's toe surgery in the offseason and feared he would not be ready for the season.

Houston collected ten interceptions in four years with the Lions.
