LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Interstate 440 East bound is a mess right now.
According to a tweet from the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ADOT), iron pipe is scattered across all lanes, impeding traffic.
The image shared in the tweet shows the wreckage of an 18-wheeler. The driver lost control of the vehicle and the truck flipped, scattering the pipes.
ADOT directed drivers to take an alternate route, specifically those heading to the airport. Those who drive large trucks were asked to use I-30 as long as they did not carry hazardous cargo.
What a mess! This is I-440 EB at Lindsey Rd. Iron pipe scattered all over the freeway. If you are headed to @flylittlerock, consider an alternate route. Truckers should use I-30 (hazardous cargo prohibited). #artraffic #arwx #arnews pic.twitter.com/WW3EC5y3zq— Arkansas DOT (@myARDOT) February 24, 2018","width":550,"height":null,"type":"rich","cache_age":"3153600000","provider_name":"Twitter","provider_url":"https://twitter.com","version":"1.0"}
