David Lippman joined THV11 in May 2016. He anchors THV11 News on weekend evenings, and reports on stories around central Arkansas during the week. He has covered Little Rock’s rising violent crime rate, the executions of four death row inmates, severe weather, the legalization of medical marijuana, and more. He also is part of THV11’s award-winning high school football coverage.
David came to Little Rock after a stint as a reporter and anchor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He covered stories about local and state politics, higher education, the environment, the LSU Tigers, and much more. He is most proud of his coverage of Hurricane Isaac and the closing of a local high school.
Prior to that, David was a sports anchor in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he covered high school and college sports, the annual Junior College World Series, and the X Games. He got his start in broadcast news as a producer in Palm Springs, California.
David was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He left home to attend Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in finance and marketing.
When he’s not exploring Little Rock, he enjoys sports, cooking (and, of course, eating), movies, and spending time with his wife, dogs, and cat.
