LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Frederick’s passion for journalism began here in Arkansas.
He was born and raised in Pine Bluff and grew up watching THV11 as a child! He’ll always remember it as “Today’s THV” though.
His passion for storytelling started during his preteen years. He liked watching Channel 11 more than any other station in Arkansas, because reporters focused on getting a different angle to a story that no one would, usually, ever consider.
He majored in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and graduated in 2021.
While at UA-Pine Bluff, he went beyond the classroom to find stories to report on. Sometimes, he would be out in the community of Pine Bluff talking with city leaders about a new project they were working on. Other times, he’d travel to cities like Little Rock or Lonoke to get a story.
When he’s not finding stories to tell, he’s usually hiking, exploring Arkansas, or spending hours on TikTok and laughing hysterically.
He’s thrilled to be able to stay in his home state and go out in communities to be a voice for someone.
