The edge is an emotional battle on Survivor: Winners at War

Although the vote was a foregone conclusion, it was the Edge of Extinction challenge that had the audience on the edge of their seats.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — It seems like every vote off this season is going to be a battle of being scared your faves are gonna be voted off all season long.

Another fave is gone and another great episode has Winners at War living up to the hype.

Edge of Extinction

The main focus at the beginning of the show is a challenge for fire tokens at the Edge of Extinction and boy is it a doozy.

Ethan, Natalie, Amber and Danni all have to transfer one piece of wood at a time by climbing the monstrous hill. And they have to do that 20 times so of course it takes their tolls on them.

But it hits Ethan the most, who pushes his body to the limit.

And Ethan being the most inspirational Survivor player ever turns this negative moment into something positive and beautiful about surviving anything, even when the odds are stacked against you.

This is probably the first time Edge of Extinction has ever felt necessary for Survivor. There's just too many good players this season!

Immunity Challenge

It is crazy how outmatched Dakal and Sele are in terms of the physical part of the challenges.

But the comeback by Sele in this challenge had to be one of the more entertaining comebacks in Survivor history.

Dakal had what seemed like an insurmountable lead on the puzzle, but Nick just completely blew it and allowed Rob and Michele to win the challenge.

And Adam went through the ringer this episode, but he had such a redemption moment during the challenge. Although Adam is currently in the doghouse, it's been fun watching him find his footing in Winners at War.

Tribal Council

Honestly, tribal was pretty cut and clear, even if the edit tried to get us to believe Tyson stood a chance of surviving.

The question remains if Tyson was too big of a threat to remain someone's shield or will his vote off just send Sandra, Tony and Sarah home without him as their buffer?
