Interesting facts about the 60th Annual GRAMMY Award nominees

NEW YORK, N.Y. (CBS) – The 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards are just days away, but how much do you know about some of the nominees?

Here are some interesting facts to share:

Jay-Z has the most Grammy nominations with 8. The rapper also had the most nods in 2013 and tied for the lead in 2003.

SZA is this year’s top female nominee. She has a total of five nominations, including Best New Artist.

Bruno Mars earned his fifth Record of the Year nomination. Mars and Beyonce are the only artists who have earned 5 nods in this category since 2000.

“Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber is up for Record and Song of the Year. It’s the first foreign-language song nominated in both categories since ‘La Bamba” 30 years ago.

Leonard Cohen and Chris Cornell are posthumously nominated for Best Rock Performance.

The late Carrie Fisher is nominated for Best Spoken Word Album.
