109-year-old Arkansas train station transformed into vintage market

The Depot Vintage Market has turned a 1910 Missouri Pacific Train Depot into quaint vintage store in Beebe.

BEEBE, Ark. — This week the Discover Arkansas team made their way to Beebe, Arkansas where one of the only train depots in the state still stands. While it's no longer a train stop, the building serves a new purpose - a vintage market!

The depot served as a train stop until the 1960s. Many of Beebe’s residents still remember it this way. After it’s tenure as a train stop, the town’s nostalgic dentist bought the building for his wife as a birthday present. They helped restore the damaged roof and helped preserve the history.

The current owners of The Depot Vintage Market have helped carry on the history by using their unique finds to lure customers from all over the country! Not only can you find vintage items at The Depot, you can also find items by local vendors.

The vintage market family in Beebe is a tight knit community with several shops in the area. This is why the Discover Arkansas team is calling this little area... The Vintage shopping capitol of the state!
