Emerald Park is 5.5 miles of biking, walking trails hidden high above the Arkansas River

If you don’t look up, you might miss Emerald Park in North Little Rock.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — If you don’t look up, you might miss Emerald Park in North Little Rock. It is 5.5 miles of biking and walking trails hidden high above the Arkansas River.

Emerald Park offers a shady and paved trail for families. However, some paths can get a little steep and rocky, so parents will probably want to stay on the paved paths with strollers or small children. Most of the trail is shaded by the beautiful tall trees surrounding the park.

For the more adventurous type, Emerald Park hosts plenty of natural trails to enjoy. Be careful! These trails follow the bluff-line of the Arkansas River and many areas can get steep.

Don’t forget your camera. There are many photo opportunities among the incredible over-look views showcasing Big Rock Quarry Park and the Arkansas River.

While strolling with your family through Emerald Park, you will see views of downtown Little Rock to Pinnacle Mountain. Stop by the gazebo for a shady resting place. Dogs are welcome if they are on a leash.

Emerald Park is open from 6 am to 9 pm daily.
