LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — How would you grade your relationship? Charlie Simpson with the Arkansas Relationship Counseling Center says taking an online quiz could help you determine if your relationship needs help.
To start, Simpson said consider the answers to these questions:
During conflicts, do you find yourselves communicating in negative ways or shutting down?

- All the time
Do you defend your perspectives during conflicts and rarely listen to each other?
- Not at all
- Sometimes
- All the time
For every one conflict, do you have five positive interactions?
- Not at all
- Sometimes
- All the time
During the course of a relationship, on average, 25% of the time will be spent positively connecting with each other; which means that 75% of the time the couple is dealing with miscommunications that can potentially lead to unhappiness and conflict.
"So during the good times you are putting as many deposits in your love bank as you can in order to survive the difficult times that will occur," said Simpson.
