Tire Pros donates $5,564 to Arkansas Children's Hospital

ACH has an amazing program that helps their patients feel like kids, even though they're sick.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Several locally-owned Tire Pros locations in Arkansas have joined together each year to raise money to help members of our community.

For the last four years, they've donated two dollars from every tire sold in June and July and given it to the Arkansas Children Hospital's child life and education fund.

This helps people just like Lauren, who has had two heart transplants and all together five surgeries.

"Like every hospital stay they came in and talked to me, they've brought me activities to keep me busy," Lauren says.

"The Child Life and Education program, they really meet the kids where they are," says Ashley with ACH. "So whether they're 4 or 16 and they're getting ready to have a small procedure done or something major, they're able to explain it in a way the kids can understand. They also bring in the fun part, games, art, music therapy. The program really keeps childhood going while they're still in the hospital."
