LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Downtown Little Rock Partnership is bringing a new event to downtown: the East Village Street Food Jam. The food truck and live music event will take place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 16 on the Clinton Presidential Center lawn.

At the East Village Street Food Jam, guests can expect to enjoy delicious local fare in a family-style picnic seating area, a beer garden and a Kid’s Zone featuring bounce houses and other kid-friendly activities.

For this new event, the Partnership has invited 25 premier food trucks that will use electrical outlets versus generators, something which will ensure everyone can fully enjoy the music and the company.

Live music will begin at 3 p.m. and run through 9 p.m. including sets from The Salty Dogs, The Going Jessies and Rodney Block/Black Superman.

Food trucks such as Almost Famous, Beaver Tails, Bryant’s BBQ and Catering, Count Porkula, Kyleigh’s Lemonade Stand, Loblolly Creamery, Say Cheese Handcrafted Sandwiches, Slader’s Alaskan Dumpling Co., Sweet Tea Kitchen and Coffee Spot and Wok-n-roll will be in attendance with more to be added.

“We are thrilled to bring a new event to central Arkansas featuring some of the area’s most popular food trucks and local bands,” said Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of Downtown Little Rock Partnership. “Our goal with the East Village Street Food Jam is to provide a quieter and more intimate food truck event in comparison to our widely popular Main Street Food Truck Festival held in the fall. We hope to make this a signature event for the growing East Village, attracting more people to this thriving new area of downtown.”

Tickets are $5 and will be available for purchase both before the event and at the gate. Children ages 5 and under may enter for free. Dates and locations for ticket purchasing will be announced in the near future.
