LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Let’s talk Halloween décor, because if you know me Fall, Autumn is my favorite time of the year.

I love to decorate, not only for Fall, but also Halloween. Better yet, this is what I do. I combine a Fall look with a Halloween look, so when Halloween is over all I have to do is remove some of the jack-o-lanterns and it still looks like Fall display all the way up to Thanksgiving.

That’s exactly what I did here. On the wall as you can see I did a cluster of all different types of pumpkins and gourds, remember Fall is about Harvest. So you want to have lots of pumpkins and gourds as though you went out in the fields and harvested them yourself.

Then I went ahead and did plants in this wall with pink pansies and an assortment of sedums. But what I really love doing was adding some jack-o-lanterns and they look so real but they are artificial.

Here’s what I did. I bought them at a craft store they look kind of cheap and very bright orange. I took some stain or you can take glaze and I simply brushed it over the pumpkin and rubbed it in with a dry rag. Now I have a richer look.

At night these light up and you would never know they are fake, and they are awesome. They give a whole feeling of a happy Halloween. Again, when Halloween is over I just remove that element of my decor and it still looks like a beautiful Thanksgiving feel. Remember, Fall is about Harvest so don’t be shy and buy lots of pumpkins and gourds.
