16th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade packed the streets of Hot Springs

More than 30,000 people packed the streets of Hot Springs on Sunday, March 17 for the first ever 16th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade.

More than 30,000 people packed the streets of Hot Springs on Sunday, March 17 for the first ever 16th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Although the route is only 98 feet long, this year there were more floats than ever.

"We are making the top 10 list, we are being mentioned with Chicago and Boston,” Steve Arrison  said, CEO of Visit Hot Springs. “People are coming to see our little parade but it reminds people about Hot Springs, Ark., and that we're here and combine it with the racing in Oaklawn. It's an unbeatable combination in March."

Actor Ralph Maccio was the Grand Marshal this year. People were also able to look at the world's largest potato.
