Morrilton family searching for missing dog, offering $1,000 cash reward

A Morrilton family is offering a $1,000 cash reward for the return of her family pet.

MORRILTON, Ark. — A Morrilton family is incomplete after its smallest member was stolen outside a Little Rock home.

Chasity Hagan is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of her 3-month-old puppy named Kaine. She and her husband purchased the Tri Pocket Bully for their sons about six weeks ago. He was the family’s first pet and well-loved by 5-year-old Braxton and 6-year-old Zayden.

“The kids got very attached to him. I, myself, did too,” Hagan said.

Hagan says her husband had Kaine with him as he talked with an acquaintance outside near the intersection of 16th and Brown streets on March 21. After Mr. Hagan placed Kaine in his crate located inside his running SUV, he continued his conversation for several minutes. He says someone then drove off.

“When he turned his back, someone had jumped in the vehicle and parked it a couple blocks down the road,” Mrs. Hagan said.

Her husband located his vehicle within several minutes. His wallet and stereo system were untouched, but Kaine and his crate were gone. Hagan reported the incident to the Little Rock Police Department.

“I really miss him bad and I really want him to come back,” 6-year-old Zayden said.

Mrs. Hagan has suspicions about what happened and who has her dog, but she says none of that matters.

“We would do anything to get him back home,” she said.

The family is offering a $1,000 cash reward in exchange for Kaine’s safe return.

“There will be no questions, not one question asked of his whereabouts or how they got him,” Hagan said.

Anyone with information on Kaine’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Little Rock Police Department at (501) 371-4605 or Chasity Hagan at (501) 849-4313.
