JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – According to authorities, a single-engine plane crashed in Jefferson County on Wednesday.

The Emergency Communication Center confirmed that the C175 crashed on Sandcreek Road around 12:30 p.m. Police say that the crash left one dead and one injured.

Arkansas State Police spokesperson Bill Sadler identified the person killed as Phillip Sloan, 66, of Mena. Ross Goodner, 19, of Boles, was the person injured; he has been admitted to Pine Bluff Hospital in stable condition.

The FAA and NTSB are also investigating.

No other details have been released at this time.
