NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Amazon Distribution Center, located near the I-30/I40 Interchange, opened in North Little Rock, Thursday, Nov. 15.

According to Norman Clifton, owner of the Amazon center property and chair of the North Little Rock planning commission, Amazon has hired 107 people with plans to hire a total of 190 people.

Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, flex or seasonal, they are putting more money in your pocket. Amazon raised the bar on wages, as they implement $15 an hour minimum wage for all of their employees.

An Amazon spokesperson said, “We are excited to continue our investment in Arkansas to speed up delivery times for customers and provide great job opportunities for the talented workforce."

The facility will create hundreds of job opportunities from full-time associates with comprehensive benefits starting on day 1 to independent contractors who can be their own boss, create their own schedule and make up to $25 per hour delivering packages on behalf of Amazon.

This delivery station powers the last mile of their customer order process and helps speed up deliveries for customers. Packages are shipped here from neighboring Amazon fulfillment and sortation centers and loaded into vehicles to get delivered to customers.

Early morning, day, overnight, evening and weekend shifts are available. You can apply here.
