A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for a large part of central Arkansas until 8 p.m. for this evening the main threats will be damaging wind gusts, a lot of lightning, large hail along with the potential of large hail and maybe even a brief week spin-up tornado.
The storm prediction center has most of the state under a slight risk of severe weather for Sunday.
The highest risk of severe weather is situated from Little rock metro and over towards west Arkansas and southwest Arkansas where the most unstable atmosphere is located.
A line of strong possibly severe thunderstorms continues to move down from the northwest and will sweep across the state through this afternoon into this evening.
The line should be in Little Rock Metro between 2:30 and 5 p.m., however, any storms that develop ahead of the line could also become strong to severe.
The threat of severe weather will be out of the region by 10 p.m.
