LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - As UALR advances to the next round of the Big Dance, everyone from students to alumni are rushing to show their pride and support for the Trojans.

Thursday's win in the NCAA Tournament against Purdue has the whole state of Arkansas talking.

UALR alumnus, Steve Cobb was at the bookstore to get Trojan basketball shirts for him and his wife.

Steve said, “I’m proud of the Trojans, I’m excited. This is my alma mater. Now, we have something to really be excited about.”

People are already making plans to cheer on their Little Rock Trojans, deciding on where they will be watching the game. To some, win or lose, this has been a game changer on and off the court.

According to Steve, “even if they don't win, it's already wonderful. It's already a boost to this program and the city.”

UALR Trojan shirts are one of the most popular items selling at the university bookstore. From hats to shirts, people were lined up to get their spirit gear.

People THV11's Katlyn Gardenhire spoke with are predicting a win for the Trojans against Iowa State this Saturday. It is set to start at 5:10 CT on TNT.
