18-year-old man charged with manslaughter of 18-year-old Texarkana woman

Officers were called to the 200 block of South Mosley Road, in reference to a reported accidental shooting.

TEXARKANA, Arkansas — According to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 5:30 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of South Mosley Road, in reference to a reported accidental shooting.

Upon officer’s arrival, they located 18-year-old Abbigale Thacker dead with a single gunshot wound.

The Texarkana Arkansas Criminal Investigation Division responded to continue the investigation, which subsequently led to the arrest of 18-year-old Kayden May.

May was arrested and charged with murder in the second degree, but after further investigation, his charge was reduced to manslaughter.

No further arrests are expected, police say.
