PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. — A child was shot in the arm on Happy Pines Loop in southern Pulaski County on the night of Feb. 22.
According to Lt. Cody Burk with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, the shooting was accidental. A family friend was at the house looking at the weapon and sat it down on a table. The 2-year-old then was able to get ahold of it.
The child was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Lt. Burk said a file will be sent to the prosecutor's office for review.
