The Fort Smith Bomb Squad along with other agencies have successfully defused multiple homemade bombs in Johnson County.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ark — (KFSM) — The Fort Smith Bomb Squad along with other agencies have successfully defused multiple homemade bombs in Johnson County.

Johnson County Sheriff Jimmy Stephens told 5NEWS the Fort Smith Bomb Squad was requested to defuse three homemade bombs at 841 County Road 1780 in London, Arkansas.

Bomb technicians went inside a home to help safely detonate the bombs around 7 p.m.

Colton Bocksnick, 23, was arrested for the bombs, but neighbors say this is a big mistake and that the situation has been blown out of proportion.

Neighbor Andre Shackelford said those that live at the home have a wood cutting business and usually make bombs to blow tree stumps out of the ground.

“They good people. They good people. That’s why I just don’t understand what’s going on. They like good people. They never cause no trouble, no nothing,” Shackelford said.

Police say Bocksnick owns the home and was actually arrested yesterday on unrelated drug charges.
