Four suspects arrested in Lonoke County for capital murder, abuse of a corpse

According to the Lonoke County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Capt. David Bufford, they are currently investigating a homicide.

LONOKE COUNTY, Arkansas — According to the Lonoke County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Capt. David Bufford, they are currently investigating a homicide. 

On Monday August 19, the Independence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a deceased person. 

The body that was located was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification and manner of death. 

On Wednesday, Independence County Detectives notified Lonoke County Detectives of their ongoing investigation because they believed the death occurred in Lonoke County.

Lonoke County Detectives immediately started investigating the incident. 

Detectives learned that the incident occurred at a residence in the 3800 block of Mt. Tabor Road, just south of Cabot. 

Police said the body of the victim was then carried by the suspects to Independence County, where it was placed in a dumpster. 

The victim is identified as 49-year-old James Bushart of Lonoke County. 

Four suspects have been arrested for capital murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence. 

According to the Lonoke County jail inmate roster, those four suspects arrested were Christy Lea Dennis, 41, Robert Garner, 64, Robert Clark Lloyd Clark, 44,  and Timmy Joe Hubmann, 41. 

They were arrested and booked between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Bufford said agencies are currently investigating. No other information can be released at this time.
