Little Rock police officer arrested for domestic battery

Little Rock police say an LRPD officer was arrested on Thursday and charged with 3rd Degree Battery.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to the Little Rock Police Department, an LRPD officer was arrested on Thursday and charged with 3rd Degree Battery.

On October 13, 2019, police responded to reports of an assault in the 12th Street Division. Upon arrival, officers recognized a person involved in the disturbance to be LRPD Officer Jonathan Walker.

An investigation opened regarding allegations of Domestic Assault and Terroristic Threatening.

After the preliminary investigation, police say the evidence was inconclusive in determining who was the aggressor in the incident. 

No arrests were made and Officer Walker was placed on administrative leave, pending further investigation.

According to the release from LRPD, as a result of the criminal investigation and a file review conducted by the Pulaski County Prosecutor's Office, Walker was served with his arrest warrants on January, 23.
