LITTLE ROCK, Ark — On Tuesday, Jan. 12, Little Rock police officers responded to a call of shots fired on Stardust Trail.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male lying in a driveway. The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Kendrell Smith, of Jacksonville. 

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Search Units arrived and began processing the scene. Detectives canvassed the scene and questioned witnesses. 

The coroner responded and transported the body to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. 

Detectives are working active leads. This is an ongoing investigation.
