LITTLE ROCK, Ark — According to Little Rock police, an 18-year-old man is dead after suffering a gunshot wound.
Police say they assisted the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office with a shooting incident in the 5200 block of Peach Leaf Cove shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers found 18-year-old Dante Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. Jones later died from his injury.
As a result of the investigation, homicide detectives determined this was an accidental shooting.
Police say a minor has been charged with manslaughter, tampering with evidence, and possession of a handgun by a minor.
