25-year-old man shot, killed at Twin Peaks restaurant parking lot in Little Rock

At around 11 p.m. Saturday night, 25-year-old Kentarius Scott was shot and killed in the Little Rock Twin Peaks restaurant parking lot.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Saturday, August 29, at approximately 11:14 p.m., Little Rock police officers received a call of a shooting at 10 Shackleford Drive, outside of Twin Peaks Restaurant.

When officers arrived, they located an 25-year-old Kentarius Scott lying in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical Personnel responded and pronouned Scott at dead at the scene.

Officers on the scene marked off the area as a crime scene and worked to locate possible witnesses at the restaurant. Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and began interviewing those who were at the restaurant when the shooting took place.

The Crime Scene Search Unit also searched the scene for anything of evidentiary value.

Detectives began working with management at the business to try to obtain video surveillance of this incident and were able to locate several witnesses who provided an interview for the investigation.

Upon completion of interviews, detectives developed 21-year-old Darean Moore as the suspect in this shooting.

Homicide Detectives were informed of a brief disagreement between Moore and Scott. Once Scott walked outside of the restaurant, Moore shot him and fled the area.

Detectives developed information that Moore took a taxi from the area and was possibly at the Pilot Gas Station, on Galloway Road in North Little Rock.

With the assistance of the Arkansas State Police and the North Little Rock Police Department, Moore was located at the gas station attempting to conceal himself on the parking lot.
