Multi-agency effort in Bryant leads to arrests of individuals for fraud, forgery and theft

The Benton and Bryant police departments worked together to arrest two individuals for multiple crimes.

BRYANT, Ark. (KTHV) - The Benton Police Department assisted the Bryant Police Department to arrest two individuals, both of Benton, on multiple fraud and theft charges.

Police arrested suspects Brittany Spades, 24, and Timothy Hughes, 33 at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 without incident.

Spades faces several charges, including Forgery in the first and second degree, Possession of a Forgery Device, Financial Identity Fraud, Fraudulent Use of a Debit/Credit Card, Shoplifting and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Benton police reports that Spades has multiple warrants out of additional agencies. Hughes faces charges of Theft of Property and Fraudulent Use of a Debit/Credit Card.

Benton police reports that Spades and Hughes were wanted in a recent shoplifting incident that happened in Benton.
