ORIGINAL STORY: North Little Rock police are looking for a woman who was reportedly abducted following a deadly home invasion on Saturday, June 15.
At 6:10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a home invasion, shooting and possible abduction on a lot in the Keller Mobile Home Park.
Upon arriving at the home on East Washington Street, officers found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from the injury.
Officers were advised that two men forced their way into the home and shot the victim. Police say the suspects then forced 35-year-old Susan Lee Smith from the residence and placed her into a small, black, "newer-model" car.
The car then left the mobile home park traveling westbound on E. Broadway, according to police.
Smith was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black leggings with a white skull pattern, and no shoes. Her hair is shaved on both sides with a brown mohawk-style cut on top, according to police.
"It's understandable this is concerning. It's not something that happens regularly, I would hope anywhere, but definitely not in North Little Rock," said Sgt. Amy Cooper. "So, I would understand that there is some level of fear."
Detectives with North Little Rock Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
"We just want everyone to know that we are working diligently and we will see this through," she said.
Cooper said the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
"We also want to encourage anyone who may see someone matching this description -- either the two black male suspects, the vehicle and the white female -- to contact us immediately and do not approach," Cooper said.
Anyone who has any information about the incident is being asked to contact NLRPD or leave an anonymous tip at 501-680-8439.
We will update this article as the story develops.
