Police: North Little Rock teen fatally stabs father, charged with murder

A 17-year-old boy from North Little Rock is being charged as an adult after allegedly stabbing and killing his 46-year-old father.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — North Little Rock police are now investigating a fatal stabbing that happened on West "F" Avenue after receiving initial reports of a "suspicious death." 

Upon their arrival, authorities located 46-year-old Lenarr Kinchen dead inside of his home on Monday, suffering from at least one stab wound. 

Following Kinchen's death, police launched an investigation and established the victim's 17-year-old son as a suspect in the fatal stabbing. 

Kinchen's son was then interviewed by authorities, which led to him being charged as an adult and receiving a 2nd degree murder charge in the death of his father. 

He's now being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility with no bond. He's scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
