North Little Rock woman dead after early morning shooting

Police say they arrived at the scene to find a woman in the roadway, suffering from a gunshot wound.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to the North Little Rock Police Department, officers received a shots fired call with injury on W. 25th St. at 3:34 a.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival to the scene, officers said they found a woman in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. 

Officers attempted to provide life-saving procedures, but the victim died at the scene.

Detectives canvassed the area and spoke to witnesses. NLRPD is still trying to find a motive for the incident and identify any and all suspects involved.

Although the suspect is still at large, NLRPD says they do not believe the suspect is a threat to the general community.
