Pine Bluff police capture 41-year-old man wanted for homicide

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — UPDATE — Police say 41-year-old Kevin Kimble of Pine Bluff has been booked into the Jefferson County jail for 1st Degree Murder.

Pine Bluff police said they are searching for 41-year-old Kevin Kimble as a person of interest in the death of Cedric Sloan, who was found July 6 in the Rosswood Colony area Monday afternoon.

Sloan was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.

A spokesperson for the Pine Bluff Police Department said officers were originally dispatched to Union Avenue after an armed disturbance report.

Once police arrived, they were told the "disturbance" was near 7300 Rosswood Colony, where a man inside a home had been shot.

This will be the city’s 14th homicide, police said.

There is a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any suspect or suspects.
