LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock police officers responded to Sams Club on Bowman Road in regards to a robbery of an individual.
A 78-year-old female victim advised she was walking to her vehicle when she noticed a male, wearing camouflage, walking behind her. When the victim stopped at her car, he passed by her.
The victim advised she opened the rear hatch to her vehicle and the suspect pushed her down and took her purse.
Two witnesses advised they saw the incident. After taking the victim's purse, the witnesses said the suspect ran to a 1999 silver Chevy S10 and got into the passenger seat and fled the scene.
The witnesses were unable to see the driver.
The same vehicle returned and the witnesses were able to get information matching the description.
When an official broadcast was made, a detective was able to find the address the car belong to. The detective learned the address listed was the mother of the suspect the vehicle belonged to.
The mother advised the detective the subject had moved.
The victim said she did not need medical attention.
