List: Arkansas & Oklahoma 2022 back-to-school dates

It's back-to-school season! Here is a list of the start dates for Oklahoma and Arkansas schools with colleges in the areas included.

ARKANSAS, USA — The 2022 school year is kicking off! Here is a list of the start dates for eastern Oklahoma, River Valley, and Northwest Arkansas schools! The start date for the colleges in the region is also included! 

Northwest Arkansas:

  • Fayetteville Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Springdale Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Rogers Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Bentonville Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Farmington Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Greenland Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Mountainburg Public Schools:
    • Monday, Aug. 15: First Day of Classes for Odd Numbered Grades plus partial Kindergarten (Look for info online & via mail. Contact campus offices with questions.)
    • Tuesday, Aug. 16: First Day of Classes for Even Numbered Grades plus partial Kindergarten (Look for info online & via mail.)
    • Wednesday, Aug. 17 – First day of classes for ALL grades
  • Pea Ridge Public Schools: Monday, Aug. 15
  • Prairie Grove Public Schools: Wednesday, Aug. 17

“It’s really great after every summer to see people but it feels really special this year,” said Fayetteville high senior Sarah Dellacroce.

“Just being able to finish out in person at your school rather than graduating online or finishing your year on a Chromebook but in person with your teachers and your friends, it’s just really exciting,” Dellaroce said.

Springdale School District is the largest school district in the state which is 23,000 students starting Monday, Fayetteville had around 10,000.
