Gospel explosion concert to benefit ex-offenders

The Second Baptist Mass Choir of Little Rock will perform a concert to benefit the Compassion in Action Re-entry program.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — If you enjoy gospel music, an upcoming fundraiser will bring some of the most powerful singing groups to one stage. 

The Second Baptist Mass Choir is set to perform at the "Something to Sing About" fundraiser on March 30. The concert benefits "Compassion in Action."

Compassion in Action Re-entry is a program that provides structure, training, education, and mentoring to returning citizens who are preparing to re-enter society," said Executive Director Michael F. Johninson Sr. 

The Harris Temple Male Chorus and the Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Male Chorus will also perform at the fundraising event. 

The concert will be held at Second Baptist Church at 6111 W 83rd Street in Little Rock. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with the concert starting at 5 p.m.
