2020 Spa-Con in Hot Springs canceled due to COVID-19

The 5th Annual Spa-Con has been canceled this year due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — According to a Facebook post, the 5th Annual Spa-Con has been canceled this year due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The organizers said it was in the best interests of the guests to cancel the event and still maintain the health and safety guidelines.

Officials took to their Facebook page to let their fans know of the calcelation of

"Our Fearless crew at Spa-Con Control delivered this message, “There are [so] many factors that led to this decision. [We're so saddened that] Spa-Con is joining some of the largest comic conventions in the world, such as Comic Con San Diego, which have also canceled due to the pandemic. Spa-Con 2021 will however, rise like the "Dark Phoenix" that it is (obviously, minus the plans to destroy the world) and to be held September 24-26 of next year."

The event will issue refunds to vendors and ticket holders who made purchases.
