Ark. pastor, probation officer arrested for solicitation of prostitution

WARD, Ark. (KTHV) - On Wednesday, the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office arrested a pastor for solicitation of prostitution. Around 2:30 p.m. deputies arrested Mark Brooke after launching an undercover investigation after receiving complaints.

WARD, Ark. (KTHV) - On Wednesday, the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office arrested a pastor for solicitation of prostitution. Around 2:30 p.m. deputies arrested Mark Brooke after launching an undercover investigation after receiving complaints.

Brooke is a pastor at the Cornerstone Assembly Church and works for the City of Ward as a probation officer. An undercover detective acted as a probationer and was assigned to Brooke.

The pastor made "lewd and inappropriate comments" during the initial meeting. Brooke then arranged a meeting where he solicited prostitution with the undercover detective using his city provided cell phone.

Sheriff John Staley said that it's never good when "someone in a position of authority takes advantage of those in difficult situations."
