LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Sears Holding has announced that it will be closing 64 Kmart stores across the country including the one in Cabot.

That means there will only be one store left in the state of Arkansas in Russellville.

Closeout sales will begin next week with all locations shuttered by May. 39 Sears stores are also shutting down, including locations at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville and the Central Mall in Fort Smith.

This is the latest in a round of closings of Sears and Kmart aimed at getting the company on solid financial footing.
