There's going to be a new arts district in Little Rock and the neighborhood association behind it is offering a $1,500 prize for an artist to create its official logo.
The arts district, according to its Facebook page, is looking for a logo that isn't "dated or trendy or overly busy." But artists will be able to use "shapes and colors that may or may not represent Little Rock or the arts directly."
"We are aligning ourselves with a rapidly growing national movement of arts districts in major cities so we need to look the part," the neighborhood association said.
In order to enter the contest, you have to be a Little Rock resident and send no more than three submissions to lrartsdistrict@gmail.com.
The deadline for the contest is Friday, September 6 and there is no fee to enter.
