LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- It's not hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk, but it's plenty warm for an important annual fish fry.
Camp Aldersgate held its 34th annual fish fry Sunday.
The facility hosts special-needs kids of all ages for summer and weekend camps. This fish fry is the main fund-raiser for the non-profit that runs it.
“Proceeds from this fish fry allow us to provide scholarships so any child that wants to camp can come, regardless of their families resources,” said Sonya Murphy, CEO of Camp Aldersgate.
Organizers wanted this year's party to feel more like a fall festival, so they included things like hay rides and a carousel. The summer-like weather? That was a nice bonus.
