JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One of Jacksonville's formerly conjoined twins was discharged from the hospital Monday.ID=76601280

Conner Mirabal was taken to Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital after he left Wolfson Children's Hospital for the first time.

Conner and his twin brother Carter were successfully separated in May, but as they recovered they had to be kept apart. Conner's health also progressed faster than his brother, so he was moved out of the PICU at Wolfson Children's Hospital and into his own room.

The Prayers for Carter & Conner Facebook page posted Sunday afternoon that Carter need his PICC line redone so instead of redoing it, doctors decided to go ahead and put in a central line.

Carter went to the operating room to have the central line placed and the surgeon said that if everything goes according to plan, he will have his G-tube surgery Friday, the post said.

"He is playful," Dr. Robie, his surgeon said of Conner. "You can get him cooing at you and screaming at you sometimes with a happy face, he is just all around a pleasure to be with. I will miss that."

"I can't wait to see his facial expression all of it," she said.

First Coast News has been following their progress since the beginning and will continue to provide updates on their conditions.
