The Arlington Hotel is considered one of the grandest hotels in the state. It was rebuilt in 1924 after a devastating fire.

Dozens of celebrities have visited the hotel over the years. Mob boss Al Capone rented rooms for weeks at a time. Hotel officials said the gangster would use an entire floor for himself and his security. He sought the nightlife and healing waters of the "Hot Springs."

The Discover Arkansas crew toured Capone's favorite room. Hotel officials showed off the secret door that he used to escape unnoticed. There are now photos of the mobster on the walls of the room.

The hotel has had other famous visits through the years like Franklin Roosevelt, Babe Ruth and Barbra Streisand.
