LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau announced new security procedures for all ticketed live performances on Friday, January 19.
The new changes are effective January 21, 2018, at all venues managed by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Walk-through magnetometers will be utilized at Robinson Center, First Security Amphitheater, and Statehouse Convention Center.
Guests are advised to arrive early and bring only necessary items. (Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items)
Patrons will be limited to small bags or purses (maximum bag size: 14” x 14” x 6”). ALL bags will be searched. To provide faster entry, those without bags will expedite the process.
Items NOT Allowed:
Backpacks, bags larger than 14”x14”x6”, more than one bag, weapons of any kind, knives of any kind, pepper spray/mace, fireworks or pyrotechnics of any kind, outside food and beverage, flasks, coolers, drugs, illegal substances, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, helmets, beach balls, Frisbees, streamers, confetti, laptop/tablet computers, 2-way radios, cameras, laser pointers, flashlights, balloons, permanent markers, spray paint, noise making devices, audio or video recording devices (except cell phones and authorized media equipment), signs/flags/banners, selfie sticks, chains, spikes, and any other item that may be deemed by event organizers and/or staff as a potential safety or security threat.
Additional security procedures have become common practice in public assembly venues, and many promoters are requiring these types of security measures be in place. Patron safety is number one priority for the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau.
