LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The Little Rock Police Department has made an arrest in the murder of Harvel “Todd” Sieber.
Wednesday, police said detectives obtained multiple warrants for several suspects. Less than a day later, at 1:00 a.m. Thursday, North Little Rock Police pulled over Williams for a traffic stop. That's when they realized there was a warrant out for his arrest.
19-year-old Corey Williams Jr. of North Little Rock has been charged with capital murder, aggravated robbery, and first-degree battery in the November 15 homicide.
"I know we're not done but it sure is exciting to get a first sight of justice for Todd," said Sieber's wife, Cynthia.
Thursday, she got the call, learning the name of one man who police said is responsible for the fatal shooting of Sieber on November 15.
Sieber, who was 47 at the time, was at the Hines Auto Detail on Capitol Avenue, when witnesses say a female suspect entered the shop asking to use the restroom. The suspect then brandished a firearm and pointed it at a customer, at which point Sieber drew his own weapon and was shot. He later died at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
"I was going to show her where the bathroom was, and she pulled the gun out and started shooting," said a witness at the scene, who also told police the woman pointed the gun at the shop's owner, Mitchell Hines.
Sieber was a husband and father of a six-year-old daughter, Gracie.
"I figured somebody, knowing that our family is ruined, would step up to the plate and help us. While I have to explain, every single night, to our child why she doesn't have a daddy anymore," said Cynthia.
The Little Rock police are still searching for “multiple suspects” in the investigation.
"We know who they are and warrants are obtained and we're looking for them as we speak," said Officer Steve Moore.
