HOT SPRING CO., Ark. (KTHV) - The Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of one of their K9 officers.
Sheriff Mike Cash told us that Luky died last week on July 23 and originally they thought the death was heat related. The dog had been tied up outside of his handler's house when his death occurred.
But an autopsy revealed that Luky died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
While Cash said the death is under investigation, the K9 handler is not currently being investigated.
Luky had been with the Hot Spring County Sheriff's Office since 2015.
