LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – Police say an innocent bystander was wounded in a shooting outside a Little Rock movie theater over the weekend.

According to Officer Steve Moore with the Little Rock Police Department, the man was wounded in the leg by stray gunfire about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when people in at least two vehicles apparently shot at each other in the parking lot of the Cinemark Colonel Glenn 18.

Moore said the man is hospitalized in undisclosed condition, but that his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

No other injuries were reported.

The building was evacuated as a safety precaution, but police say that complicates the investigation.

“Because everybody that was involved in the shooting fled the area. We do have some vehicles that fled, but we don't know are they suspect vehicles or just people getting out of the area because shots were being fired,” said Officer Moore.

No arrests have been announced and Moore said investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
