Missing 1-year-old girl found in Arizona with mother, grandmother

LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - UPDATE-- Indiana has been located along with the mother and grandmother in Navajo County, Arizona.

ORIGINAL-- The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a 1-year-old reported missing on May 31.

On May 1, 2018, the Circuit Court of Lonoke County Domestic Relations Division filed an Order granting custody of 1-year-old Indiana Tarter to her biological father.

The father has been unable to locate the mother, 42-year-old Heather Tarter and Indiana Tarter.

Efforts by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office to locate Heather have been unsuccessful so far.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office has entered the child into the National Criminal Information Center as missing at this time. There are no criminal charges at this time, however, anyone found to be assisting with hiding this child could face criminal charges.

Indiana Tarter is approximately two feet tall and weighs 20 pounds. Heather Tarter has been known to frequent the Carlisle area where she has family.

Tarter may be driving a 2007 white Chevrolet Trail Blazer with an Arkansas license plate 111SPS.
