NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) –Barry Fisher, owner/operator of the North Little Rock Trophy Company announced on Friday that the last day of business for the North Little Rock Trophy Company will be Friday, August 11.
The NLR Trophy Company has served the central Arkansas area for the past 40 years. The AHTD construction project on MacArthur forced to local business to relocate in August 2016.
“We never recovered from the move,” said Fisher. “The expense of moving depleted our cash on hand coupled with some customers thinking we closed contributed to a decline in sales.”
There is a Dealer’s Only Sale set for Saturday, July 22. Trophy shop owners are invited to attend the sale and get great prices on items they will need to operate their stores. The sale will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“I’m hopeful an investor from the North Little Rock area will reach out to me and offer a complete buyout and keep the tradition alive,” Fisher said.
Fisher released the following statement about the closure of his business:
“We are grateful for all the people, sports leagues, businesses, school districts, churches and many others who have supported the NLR Trophy Company over the past 40 years. We Thank You!”
