Science Circus with Rhys Thomas, Museum of Discovery - Come one, come all, to see the greatest science show on earth! Back by popular demand is Science Circus starring Rhys Thomas. This 40-60 minute show is filled with hilarity, dexterity and physics. Rhys teaches the physics of balance and motion using high level circus tricks: gravity with bowling ball juggling, gyroscopics with Chinese yoyo spinning, balance with six foot unicycle riding, centripetal force with cowboy lariat swinging and inertia by pulling a tablecloth from under a place setting with twirling glass bowls. Shows are at 11:30 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $7 for children. For info: 396-7050.

Elephant Event, Little Rock Zoo - Meet children's author Boots Hensil, who will sign copies of his book "The Zoopendous Surprise" from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Adorable illustrations by Andrea Gabriel add to the charm of this fact-based story about two real elephants living at the Little Rock Zoo in Arkansas. Admission to the zoo is $10 for adults, $8 for children and senior citizens. For info: 661-7203.

Star Party, Pinnacle Mountain State Park - Join amateur astronomers at the visitor's center for an evening with the stars and other celestial phenomena from 9-11 p.m. As twilight settles in, the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society provides telescopes for viewing objects in the night sky. If cloudy skies prevent observation with telescopes, an indoor program on astronomy will be available at 9 p.m. For info: 868-5806. FREE!
