LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- While the football-playing Hogs spent Saturday in South Carolina, some hogs of a different kind went for a ride right here in Central Arkansas.

The 4th Annual Arkansas Honor Ride and Purple Heart Parade rolled out Saturday.

The motorcycle procession benefits wounded soldiers and disabled veterans. It started in Little Rock and made its way to Hot Springs.

For the participants, it's more than just a fun ride on a nice day.

“This not only brings awareness to some disabled veterans' situations that we have here in Arkansas and all around the United States. Some of them live in deplorable conditions so we are here to try and help,” said Wendell Roberts.

The ride raises money to fix those homes for disabled vets, as well as for the Warrior And Family Support Center in San Antonio.
