Searcy man arrested for allegedly possessing drugs, pills valued at nearly $134,000

A Searcy man is facing several charges after the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force found several drugs inside an apartment.

A Searcy man is facing several charges after the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force found several drugs inside an apartment.

With assistance from the Searcy Police Department, the task force conducted a search of an apartment at 300 Clinic Street. When officers executed the search warrant, 24-year-old Kershon Davis was at the residence and was taken into custody.

While searching the apartment, authorities found several drugs, which included around 1,785 grams of marijuana, 465.6 grams of methamphetamine and 60 grams of cocaine. Police also found 1,913 Xanax pills, 953 ecstasy pills, 54 grams of mushrooms, two hits of acid, four firearms and $522 in cash.

The street value of the drugs confiscated would be around $133,800.

Davis has been charged with two counts of drug trafficking, four counts of drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and firearms, criminal use of a communication device and maintaining a drug premises within 1,000 feet of a school.

The investigation is still open and more arrests may be made in the case.
